I discovered my love for welding in high school, first through an introduction course at Lake Region and then through the North Country Career Center, where my first weld made it clear that this was the career I was meant to pursue. Welding gives me a sense of focus, purpose, and pride, and I’m committed to furthering my education in welding and fabrication so I can build a successful future in a trade that’s always in demand. My long-term goal is to earn my pipe certification and pursue a welding career in Alaska, and completing the program at Advanced Welding Institute is the next step toward making that happen.
