I chose a technical high school to learn in a different way, and during my first week of exploratory I stepped into Automotive Technology and was immediately interested, even though there were not many girls in the program. Over the past three and a half years—and now through my co-op at Jack Madden Ford, where I’m only the second female technician—I’ve learned work ethic, time management, critical thinking, and problem-solving, and I’m excited to continue growing through the Ford ASSET Program at Central Maine Community College. This scholarship would help me access the tools and resources I need to strengthen my skills and build a solid foundation for my future as a mechanic.
