My woodworking journey began in my sister’s basement after leaving my undergraduate dance program, and restoring an old 18th-century Dutch console table sparked a passion that blended the precision, rhythm, and discipline I learned through dance with a new creative outlet I could build with my hands. Formal training will help me elevate my craft, and this scholarship would ease the financial burden of my education so I can continue growing as a woodworker and contribute to the legacy of furniture-making that inspires me.
