Since about fourth grade, I knew traditional schooling wasn’t for me, but I always understood that quitting wasn’t an option—college just wasn’t the path I wanted. My grandfather, a plumber who has worked in the field since he was 16, showed me that traditional college doesn’t define success and inspired me to follow in his footsteps. I’m excited and proud to be going to plumbing school and continuing the path he set for our family.
