A Chimney Sweep does job site setup, equipment handling, inspections and installations. A Chimney Sweep needs to be able to learn to
identify safety and code issues in accordance with CSIA standards and NFPA 211. To enjoy this role, it’s important to be comfortable working at heights, be able to lift 50+ lbs., and be content working in varying weather conditions. A CSIA certification allows you to advance from a Chimney Sweep Apprentice/Trainee to a Certified Chimney Sweep.
