We are excited to provide a Bring Back the Trades Grant Program Sponsored in 2026 by Milwaukee Tool.
Across the country, vocational programs are often forced to teach with outdated, broken, or consumer-grade equipment. The Bring Back the Trades Grant Program changes the narrative by putting “Nothing But Heavy Duty” technology into the hands of students. By providing professional tools, we show students that their education—and their future career—is worth the highest standard of equipment.
Thanks to numerous schools and programs letting us know they need help supporting future tradespeople, we have made a commitment to grant $1,500 in tools monthly to a public school or nonprofit. Milwaukee Tool committed to supporting the program through 2026, so the awards in 2026 will be shipped directly to winning organization by Milwaukee Tool!
Objective: To equip public schools and community nonprofits with professional-grade Milwaukee Tool kits, fostering a culture of craftsmanship, safety, and respect for the tools of the trade.
How It Works
- High-impact public educational programs and nonprofits that lack the budget for modern outfitting submit a simple form through the BBTT.org website.
- Through an application process, Public Schools and nonprofit organizations supporting the trades and trades education will choose the tools they need (from a pre-provided tool kit list). Milwaukee Tool will direct ship the tools to the winners through 2026. Thereafter, Bring Back the Trades will ship the tools that best match the category each month. Bring Back the Trades reserves the right to substitute tools as needed.
- BBTT will manage the application process, and select a monthly winner.
- Bring Back the Trades provides the Tools (valued up to $1,500 per award, to be granted monthly and shipped directly to the organization). Through 2026, Milwaukee Tool will ship the tools valued up to $1,500 directly to the winning school or nonprofit organization each month. Only one shipping address can be used for the delivery address of the tools.
The Why
- The Bring Back the Trades Tool Grant Program provides a tangible solution to the $325.6 billion skilled trades gap by removing the barrier of equipment costs for schools.
- The program helps ensure that students in underfunded districts are learning on the same technology used on the world’s most advanced jobsites. Milwaukee Tool is the brand that builds America, connecting students to a legacy of innovation and quality from day one.
“If we want the next generation to respect the trades, we have to give them tools worth respecting.” — Steve Turner, Founder, BBTT
