Believe it or not, I discovered my passion back in third grade during a field trip to a trade school — that's where I fell in love with auto body work. I'm pursuing collision repair to build a strong foundation in the automotive industry, but my true passion is graphics, custom paint, airbrushing, and creating artwork on motorcycles, hot rods, and other custom vehicles. Throughout my journey, I've been inspired by mentors who have encouraged me to keep pursuing my dreams. Paying for that dream on my own, though, is a real challenge. My parents' combined income is around $36,000 annually, and they receive no government assistance, so they aren't able to help me financially. This scholarship will help cover my classes, materials, and the extra costs of attending, so I can keep pursuing the skilled trades and the artistic side of this industry I love.
