Hopewell High School

At Hopewell High School, manufacturing is a student-run enterprise where 225 students design, prototype, and manufacture real products for real community recipients. Two of its highest-impact projects — a container line and a Special Olympics trophy upcycling initiative — require precise cuts that the program's decade-old miter and band saw struggled to deliver. With the BBTT Tool Grant, new Milwaukee® tools bring the precision those builds require, while also cutting down on the excessive sawdust the old saws produced — a respiratory hazard and housekeeping burden for the 225 students rotating through the lab each year. Students will showcase the new equipment at the annual Capstone Exhibition, Manufacturing STEM Day, and in front of industry partners like Burkert USA.
