I didn't pick up welding fast; I was actually pretty behind my class at first. But I had the determination to be the best person I can be for my family. Today, I’m a MIG and TIG welder, a competition participant, and a shop intern. I’m pursuing the trades because I want to make something of myself without the burden of debt, so I can take the burden off my mom and help my siblings. Welding is my dream, and I’m just getting started.
