Board Member

David Greer was the long-time CEO of Wire Belt Company of America (WBCA), a multi-generation family-owned manufacturing firm specializing in metal conveyor belts and related equipment. He took over as CEO in 1980 at the age of 31, following his education at the University of Maine (Orono) with a degree in Manufacturing Engineering Technology. Under his leadership, WBCA relocated from Winchester, MA to New Hampshire in 1989, embracing NH’s business environment and expanding operations globally (including UK & Germany). His leadership has been recognized with notable honors: e.g., the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Business & Industry Association of New Hampshire (BIA) and the Lifetime Achievement Award from the UNH CEO & Family Enterprise Center. He is passionate about the manufacturing sector, workforce development, and supporting trade and technical education. He and his wife established the “David L. Greer Scholarship Fund” for students pursuing advanced manufacturing at NH community colleges. Though he transitioned leadership of Wire Belt to his nephew, Jon Greer, he continues to stay involved and guide the company’s mission.
